An open invitation has been issued to a series of Information Sessions taking place over the coming weeks to update the public about the construction of the SGN Natural Gas Network.

With the main construction phase currently underway, 220 subcontractors are working at key locations to bring natural gas to a total of eight towns in Counties Tyrone, Fermanagh and Derry.

David Butler, Head of Engineering for the SGN Natural Gas Network, explained that these informal drop-in sessions are a welcome opportunity for the project team to engage directly with local residents and businesses in the Cookstown, Lisnaskea, Omagh and Enniskillen areas.

David encouraged residents, business representatives and other stakeholders to come along and find out more about ongoing project development work in their local areas.

He said: “We are committed to positive engagement with the local communities we serve and look forward to meeting as many people as possible at these Information Sessions where members of the project team and our contractors will be available to answer questions on everything from roadworks to the benefits of natural gas.”

Join us in Cookstown (Burnavon Theatre) on Tuesday March 6; Lisnaskea (Donn Carragh Hotel) on Wednesday March 7; Omagh (Strule Arts Centre) on Thursday March 8; and Enniskillen (Fermanagh House), on Thursday March 15.

Each drop-in session will be open from noon-2pm & 5pm-7pm. Tea & coffee also provided!
