Funding from the Northern Ireland Sustainable Energy Programme (NISEP) 2019-2020 is available to help convert low-income households to natural gas central heating, including insulation and energy efficiency measures.
Warm at Home Plus
SGN Natural Gas’ Warm at Home Plus offers households the chance to convert to a free fully funded natural gas heating system. This is a whole house solution offering natural gas heating, loft and cavity wall insulation, as well as four LED bulbs fitted for the householder and a hot water tank jacket (as is required).
To qualify for this scheme householders must be able to demonstrate that they live within the SGN Natural Gas licensed network area; are readily connectable; are a private renting tenant or owner-occupier with solid fuel heating, Economy 7, or oil heating (for boilers over 15 years old, or broken beyond repair).
Households that are private renting tenants or owner-occupiers must meet an income criteria of:
- Single person household with income/pension less than £25,000 gross per annum.
- Couple/single parent family with income/pension less than £35,000 gross per annum.
Terms and conditions apply.
