• Energy saving grants

    Funding from the Northern Ireland Sustainable Energy Programme (NISEP) 2021-22 is available to help convert low-income households to natural gas central heating, including insulation and energy efficiency measures.

    Warm at Home Plus

    SGN Natural Gas’ Warm at Home Plus scheme offers *eligible households the chance to convert to a free fully funded natural gas heating system.  
     
    Additional fully funded energy efficiency measures are also available (if required):

    • Loft and cavity wall insulation
    • LED light bulbs
    • Draught Proofing 
    • Hot Water Tank Jacket
    • Water Widget 
    • Remote Smart Heating Controls
    To qualify you are required to demonstrate you live within the SGN Natural Gas licensed network area; are readily connectable to natural gas, with solid fuel heating; LPG heating, no central heating or an old (over 15 years) or broken beyond viable economic repair oil boiler. Economy 7 conversions will be reviewed on a case by case basis. 

    Households must be owner-occupiers that meet an income criteria of:

    • Single person household with income/pension less than £28,000 gross per annum.
    • Couple/single parent family with income/pension less than £35,000 gross per annum.

    Warm at Home Cashback

    SGN Natural Gas’ Warm at Home Cashback scheme offers *eligible households 50% off the cost of a natural gas heating system.

    • Remote Smart Heating Controls
