Funding from the Northern Ireland Sustainable Energy Programme (NISEP) 2019-2020 is available to help convert low-income households to natural gas central heating, including insulation and energy efficiency measures.
Warm at Home Cashback
SGN Natural Gas’ Warm at Home Cashback offers households the chance to avail of up to £1,500 cashback to convert to a natural gas heating system. This will be offered as a whole house solution, so in addition to the £1,500 cashback for natural gas heating, there will also be up to £800 available to cover insulation measures for loft and cavity wall, four LED bulbs will be fitted for the householder, and a hot water tank jacket supplied (as required).
A customer contribution will be required to make up the shortfall in funding and the customer will be responsible for building control applications and payment.
To qualify for this scheme, householders must be able to demonstrate that they are a household within the SGN Natural Gas licensed network area; are readily connectable; are a private renting tenant or owner-occupier with solid fuel heating, Economy 7, or oil heating (for boilers over 15 years old, or broken beyond repair).
Households that are private renting tenants or owner-occupiers must meet an income criteria of:
• Single person household with income/pension less than £35,000 gross per annum.
• Couple/single parent family with income/pension less than £40,000 gross per annum.
Terms and conditions apply.
